When Sugar Snap came to DHD for their website redesign, the goal was clear: create a deliciously dynamic site that proved Sugar Snap knows its way around the food sector.

Diving into the process

As part of our extensive discovery process, we visited Sugar Snap’s office and discovered it was full of character, with polaroids on the wall, music in the air, and an ever-present aroma of good coffee. Our goal was to bake all that personality into the new website.

Sugar Snap’s new site needed to be a visual feast full of flavour – bold, playful, and never beige. But beyond that, it had to provide a seamless user experience, acting as a smart filter for high-quality leads, and a front door for both curious potential customers and loyal clients logging into the Sugar Snap Kitchen system.

From coffee to code

To showcase the team’s charm and creativity in motion, traditional ‘Meet the Team’ and ‘Case Study’ pages were replaced with interactive, scrapbook-style sections. The polaroid wall grid spotted in the office even formed inspiration for some of the background patterns, and an embedded music player was incorporated to bring Sugar Snap’s everyday soundtrack straight into the digital experience. The cherry-on-top? Interactive animations, no two the same.

Form meets flavour

Despite the explosion of colour and animation across the site, functionality and accessibility remained paramount. With more transparent pricing and a “Let’s Chat” form as fun and easy as grabbing a bite with a friend, the site would now attract the right kind of leads, and leave people hungry for more.
