Include Youth
Transforming the lives of young people.
Include Youth is a rights based charity working to improve the employability, personal development and essential life skills of care experienced young people and those from disadvantaged communities.
Include Youth realised they needed to expand their brand awareness and get their story into the hearts of potential funders, so we produced three short films following the transformations of young people in the Belfast, Cavan and Dublin programs.

Telling Stories with Texture, Tone, and Technique
Our creative challenge was to safeguard the young people’s identities, which required carefully considering the framing, angles and depth-of-field of every shot. Voiceovers were recorded in a relaxed setting and brought to life with a multilayered sound design, to help audiences imagine what couldn’t be seen.
We incorporated raw handicam-style sequences and a slow shutter speed to show a rougher, more unsettled view of the world. As the young person’s story shifted toward a greater sense of calm and clarity, we transitioned to steady, more vividly coloured shots.
For charities like Include Youth, powerful storytelling is crucial because it allows audiences to connect with real lives – not just statistics. We were proud to play a small role in highlighting the incredible work they do.
“We had a fantastic experience working with DHD. Their team helped us expand our audience through engaging and impactful content. They were not only friendly and professional but also collaborated closely with our staff and young people, blending their creative ideas with ours.
“We were extremely happy with the final video, and when we requested minor changes, they responded quickly and efficiently. The brand audit was also incredibly valuable, giving us an outside perspective on our brand and they took the time to walk us through their insights, allowing us to discuss ideas and potential improvements in detail.
“Overall, working with DHD was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!”
